SHEPHERD HUT

Steel box frame chassis with pivoting front axle, towing bar and original cast iron wheels.
The floor, walls and roof are insulated with fibreglass insulation.
Internally it is finished with varnished tongue and groove pine ceiling. The walls are clad to dado height with varnished tongue and groove pine. Above the dado rail there is ply painted with emulsion.

The door is an engineered hardwood stable door with a 5 lever security mortice lock and a double glazed light using Pilkington's K glass. There is a Stormguard threshold fitted to the frame.

The windows are double glazed with Pilkington's K glass, are lockable and have vents.

The door and window furniture, sockets, lights and light switch are in polished brass.


The hut is wired with two double sockets, six flush fitting low energy lights, one light switch and a consumer unit with RCD. All huts with electrics will be supplied with a certificate of compliance.The mains inlet socket is a 32amp blue socket located underneath the hut.


Outside it is clad in Siberian Larch which has a life expectancy of more than one hundred years when painted and off the ground. All external timber is painted with Sadolin Superdec. The roof covering is fire retardant Firestone EPDM roofing material which is a one piece rubber sheet stuck to the ply substrate. It requires very little if any maintenace.


The size of the hut is approx 12 feet long by 7 feet wide.
The cost £6000. There is no VAT.


Options available for future huts are :- larger size, woodburner, underfloor heating, more windows, different layout, shower room, solar panels, beds etc. The list is endless.
We can build a hut to your specification for whatever purpose you would want it eg; Spare room, office, music room, studio, children's play room, fishing hut, workshop. The uses are limited only by your imagination.
